Captain Rommie Duckworth of the Ridgefield Fire Department will be presenting his topic “Firefighter Response to Alternative Fuel Vehicles”
Duckworth is a dedicated responder, author, and educator with more than thirty years of experience working in the Ridgefield and New Fairfield Fire Departments. He is the author of over 100 published articles in fire and EMS magazines and chapters in more than a dozen firefighter, rescue, and EMS textbooks.
Chief Richard Thode of the Danbury Fire Department will be presenting his topic “The Sweet 16 for Firefighters.”
Thode is a forty-year veteran of the Fire Service with ties to Ridgefield, Bethel, Bridgeport, and Danbury. A graduate of the IAFC’s Fire Service Executive Development Institute, Thode has been recognized several times throughout his career.
